Choose a burkini by checking what the set includes, how much coverage it gives you and whether the fit lets you move comfortably. A three-piece set and a four-piece set can arrange their coverage differently, so compare the description and photos rather than choosing by piece count alone.
Start with the Fit Freak burkini collection. Check the selected size and colour on the product page before ordering; availability can differ between variants.
What is a burkini?
A burkini is modest swimwear that covers more of the body than a conventional swimsuit. Sets may include a swim top or bodysuit, leggings or pants, and a cap or headpiece. Some add a separate skirt or hip cover; others build that coverage into the top.
Compare the pieces before you buy
Fit Freak's current product descriptions show several different arrangements:
- Motion Sculpt Burkini Set is described as a three-piece set with matching leggings, a built-in hip-cover design and a swim cap.
- Midnight Motion Burkini Set is described as a four-piece set with a wrap-style neckline, a side drawstring, matching pants, a hip cover and a cap.
- Fuse Fit Burkini Set is described as a four-piece set with a bodysuit, matching leggings, an external skirt and a swim cap.
If you prefer a separate coverage layer, compare the Midnight Motion and Fuse Fit descriptions. If you prefer coverage built into the design, look at Motion Sculpt. Confirm the contents of your chosen set on its product page.
Check coverage and movement together
Look at the neckline, sleeve length, bottom length and coverage around the hips. A photo taken while standing still does not tell you how the outfit will feel when you reach or bend.
At try-on, lift your arms, bend your knees and sit down. Check for pulling at the shoulders, waist or knees, and for fabric that shifts more than you want. The cap or headpiece should also feel secure without being uncomfortable.
Use the size information for that specific product. Do not assume that a size you wear in gym leggings will fit the same way in swimwear.
What the description should tell you
Check the listed fabric and care instructions before buying. If a feature matters to you, such as a tested UV-protection rating, chlorine resistance or quick drying, look for an explicit statement on the product page or ask Fit Freak to confirm it. A burkini's appearance does not establish those properties.
For a pool visit, check the venue's swimwear rules too. Keep ordinary gym layers for outside the water unless they are specifically described as swimwear.
Questions before ordering
Is a four-piece burkini more covered than a three-piece set?
Not necessarily. One design may have a separate skirt, while another includes a hip-cover shape in the top. Compare the actual cut and included pieces.
Do I need a separate hip cover?
Check the set first. The examples above already include either a separate coverage piece or a built-in hip-cover design. An extra layer may be unnecessary.
Are all listed colours and sizes available?
Availability depends on the selected variant. Open the product page and check your size and colour rather than relying on a collection photo.
Browse the burkini collection with your preferred coverage in mind, then compare the contents and fit of the sets that interest you.
